Britain’s Biggest Family – Looking After 19 Children Means Number 20 Will Be Their Last

Britain’s biggest family, the Radfords, are preparing for baby number TWENTY – but promise it will be the last. Sue and Noel Radford have been having children for the best part of three decades.

They face a monumental task each day just to feed, clothe and ferry about their huge brood, and it’s about to get one bigger with Sue, 42, due to give birth to another baby boy in September. Sue told The Sun: “We both feel pretty sure that’s it now.” The couple from Heysham, Lancashire, are already parents to Chris, 28, Sophie, 23, Chloe, 21, Jack, 20, Daniel, 18, Luke, 16, Millie, 15, Katie, 14, James, 13, Ellie, 12, Aimee, 11, Josh, nine, Max, eight, Tilly, seven, Oscar, five, Casper, four and toddler Hallie. They also have three grandchildren.

Noel revealed: “Bathing the little ones is like having a sheep dip. We go through gallons of shampoo.” The couple spend an estimated £30,000 a year of their own money bringing up their children – including birthdays with a budget of £100 per child and Christmas at £100 to £250 per child.
