Britain Will Be Hotter Than The Seychelles TOMORROW As Temperatures Soar To 33C

We are set to bask in the second hottest day of the year on Thursday, after June 21’s 34.5C at Heathrow Airport.

In fact the odds on the Championships beating its 35.7C record temperature – set on July 1, 2015 – were cut to 2/1 by bookmakers Ladbrokes. The heat has blown in from southern Spain and has sparked a second spell of extremely hot weather in the space of two weeks.

But the Met Office said thunderstorms from France will dump up to 80mm of rain – six weeks’ worth of rain for parts – in just three hours. The Met Office and Environment Agency warned of “sudden” and “significant” flooding of homes, roads and rail lines. However, the warm weather will be back in time for the weekend.
