Parts of Bristol city centre have been closed after a ‘suspicious’ car was discovered outside a police station.Avon and Somerset Police said the vehicle had been parked illegally outside Bridewell police station.
As a result several streets in the city centre had been closed as a precaution with cordons in place. The affected roads are Bridewell Street, Nelson Street, Silver Street, Union Street, Rupert Street and Haymarket.
A force spokesman said: ‘We are currently conducting inquiries to establish the owner of the car. As a precaution we are also assessing the vehicle.’
