A Ryanair flight from Edinburgh to Gdansk has been forced to head back to the capital shortly after take-off.
The morning journey came to a halt after the the plane was turned around for an emergency landing at the airport. The flight – FR7921 – departed from Edinburgh at 9:38am and was scheduled to land at 12:25pm.
Some Twitter users suggested there was an issue with the autopilot on the plane. with Paddy O’Connell writing: “@Ryanair flight #Edinburgh to #Gdansk #Poland diverted back to capital as problems with autopilot on plane. #Ryanair.”
