A plane has crashed into a Norfolk field leaving at least one man dead.The two-seater aircraft came down in the Hempnall area of the county at around 3.30pm.
Reports suggest the crash happened at the Hardwick airfield, near the town of Bungbay. Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the scene, where the other passenger, an injured man, was reported as being trapped inside the blazing wreckage.
A Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “It has been reported that a light aircraft has come down and crashed. It is reported to have been on fire as well.
“The information received from the ambulance service is that they believe there was two people on board, one physically trapped.”
