A man has been stabbed to death with a machete in a brutal attack in south-east London. The man, in his 20s, was stabbed to death in a house in the cul-de-sac Bournewood Road, Plumstead. Met Police released an appeal for information this morning after the incident at 4.30pm last night.
Witnesses claim the weapon used was a machete. Medics were scrambled to the scene – but were unable to save the man who had suffered fatal stab wounds. The house is believed to have been occupied by a young man who lived with his parents.
One neighbour told the Standard: “They cordoned the road off and there were paramedics and police running up and down. I heard the helicopter going round and round, as if they were looking for someone … It’s awful. This road is mostly families. People don’t move in and out very much, it’s quite quiet most of the time. It’s awful.”
