The Islamic State jihadist terror group has said it was behind Thursday’s deadly lorry attack in Nice.84 people were killed in the Bastille Day attack. The IS claim comes as three people were arrested today and another yesterday in connection with the attack in the French city.
Mohamed Bouhlel drove a 19-ton lorry into a crowd that had been watching a fireworks display. Of the 202 people injured, 52 are in a critical condition and 25 of those are on life support.
Authorities have been trying to find out whether the 31-year-old French-Tunisian acted alone or with accomplices and whether his motives were connected to radical Islam.
