A man has plunged from a top floor window of a tenement while clutching a girl aged two.The pair were rushed to hospital following the horror incident at the block of flats in Govanhill, Glasgow, at around 12.30pm today. The 38-year-old was said to be seriously injured while the youngster – who was said to be in his arms – was also hurt.
Police said they’ve launched an investigation after emergency services were called to the scene in Calder Street.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 12.35pm on Monday, police were called to a report of a 38-year-old man and a two year-old girl having fallen from the window of a flat in Calder Street, Glasgow.
“They have been taken to hospital where they are being treated for their injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as serious and the girl’s condition is described as stable. Police enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
