At least one person has died and several others injured after a man drove a vehicle into crowds in the Finnish capital, Helsinki.
Police say the driver of the vehicle, a man in his 50s, has been arrested. It is believed the vehicle drove into pedestrians at the corner of Annegatan and Lönnrotsgatan in the centre of Helsinki. At least four people have been taken to hospital.
Traffic in the area is being diverted at the intersection between Annegatan and Kalevagatan, with no access to pedestrians at this time. Police say the driver appeared to be intoxicated at the time of arrest.
