Police have cordoned-off a Midlands high street today over an on-going incident. The police incident in Birmingham Road, Water Orton, was reported shortly before 11am this morning.
Police were called to reports of a man with a firearm around 9.30am this morning. A witness at the scene reported seeing at least one of the police officers at the scene carrying a firearm. Warwickshire Police remain at the scene.
A spokeswoman for Warwickshire Police said: “Armed officers attended the incident on-going and closed the road.” Armed police have cordoned off the high street, with vehicles and pedestrians being diverted around the area – near to the railway station.
