A 14-year-old boy had his head chopped open with a hacksaw while playing on a Playstation with other teenagers, it is claimed. The youngster was attacked after two people allegedly “kicked down” the back door of a home in East Grinstead, West Sussex.

The pair then reportedly “broke down” the living room door before threatening the victim and two other teens, aged 15 and 16. During the incident, the 14-year-old was apparently cut with a hacksaw and left with a deep cut on the top of his head, the Surrey Mirror reports. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.

Police were called to the house in Holtye Avenue at about 9pm on Sunday. A 37-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both from Horley, have since been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent. A 19-year-old woman related to one of the teenagers said the boys have been left “traumatised” by what happened. The two suspects remain under investigation.
