Holly Willoughby has addressed questions about her absence from This Morning by reassuring her fans that everything is OK. The 36-year-old host has been off-air all this week battling a mystery illness, but appeared on last night’s pre-recorded Play To The Whistle on ITV.

She took to Twitter after the episode to thank fans for their support while she was off, saying: “Hope your enjoying #pttw … thank you for all your lovely messages, I’m feeling much better and will be back at @thismorning Tomorrow.” ¬†She added a kiss emoji for her fans, who were glad she was feeling better after being away from the This Morning sofa with what an ITV spokesperson called a “sickness bug”.

“That’s good. We’ve all missed you,” replied one of her followers. But some cheekily suggested that the mum-of-three had the kind of ‘sickness bug’ that tends to occur in the morning, with one saying: “coughs … morning sickness :P.” Another asked outright whether Holly was pregnant, to which there was no response…
