A 13 year-old boy in a critical condition and fighting for his life after a horrific crash involving two motorbikes.

The smash happened in the Rimrose Valley Park in Litherland, Merseyside at approximately 7.20pm yesterday evening. Both the police and the ambulance services attended and the boy was rushed to Alder Hey hospital. His injuries include a broken femur and severe head injuries.

A 16 year-old boy was also injured in the crash; he sustained two broken legs and is currently being treated at Fazakerley Hospital. His condition is described as “serious but stable.”

A spokesman for Sefton CID, Detective Inspector Mark Smith, said: “I’m asking anyone who was in, or around the park, at that time who saw anything, or anyone who may have any information, to please contact us.”
