13 Year-Old Arrested After Allergic Reaction Kills Schoolmate

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested over the death of a schoolboy who suffered a severe allergic reaction. The alleged victim, also 13, became ill at school in Greenford, west London, on June 28. He was taken to hospital and stayed there until his death on Sunday.

Police were called on the day the boy fell ill, when the alarm was raised about an incident that brought him into contact with the allergen. The nature of the allergen has not been released, but a post-mortem will take place on Wednesday.

The 13-year-old has been interviewed in connection with the death and is scheduled to speak to police again this month.
